Home Theater Shack has experienced excellent growth since our opening date of April 20, 2006. The forum is owned by John Mulcahy and Sonnie Parker. John, author of Room EQ Wizard (REW), is formerly of Tag McLaren and worked on the F1 Team. Sonnie is just an ole hillbilly who had a crazy idea to start another home theater forum, except with the caveat that this one would be a unique forum with stringent rules that uphold the highest of moral and ethical standards. Home Theater Shack has become the forum for the mature and serious home theater enthusiast whose desire is to be a part of the most respected home theater forum on the Internet. These characteristics along with an excellent staff, great members and informative content, has proven to be a recipe for success.

Sponsor Header Banners are located in the upper area (top fold) of our Home Page and our Main Forum Index Page and all other forum pages. These banners produce nearly a million impressions per month and gives your company excellent name recognition... as well as the CPM (Cost Per Thousand) is remarkably low. Header Banner positions are rotated every few months.

A Company Sponsored Forum is a forum that we create for your company. The forum is placed in the forum section/category that best fits the description of your company. This can be a forum for your current customers, potential customers and future customers. Generally companies will link to their company forum with a "Forums" link on their home page. The company provides a moderator who can post news, announce new products, post reviews and answer any general or technical questions that might be asked in the forum. Customers and potential customers admire companies who provide a discussion forum. These customers are more confident in the company knowing you are willing to discuss your products and services publicly and provide this level of help and support. It promotes excellence, integrity and trust. It is imperative that you and/or your company representatives monitor the forum regularly for prompt responses. We have moderators to help police the forum, help generate discussion, and help answer general questions, but there are some questions that only a company representative can answer.

Sponsored CPM Banner Advertising is based on "cost per 1,000 impressions". We have three prime locations that produce a CTR (click-through rate) of 0.20% to 0.25%. Additional Information
All sponsors and their representatives are allowed to have links to your company in your signature, which means the more you participate in the forums, the more publicity your company receives. Forum members are much more enthusiastic about a company who interacts in the forums. This has proven time and again to be extremely beneficial for companies. Note: This is not valid for Text Link Ads (Non-Sponsor Advertising).
We also provide a Specials and Group Buys forum where sponsors can post announcements of product specials.
We can accommodate banner images in flash, gif, jpg, and png formats. There may be other formats we can also accommodate if you would like to contact us to discuss other options.
We track impressions and clicks for Sponsored Forum Banners and Company Sponsored Forum banners, however, due to the number of header banners and the time to load our javascript tracking links, which have to be refreshed each reload, we do not track the header banners. These load on every page and tracking them will increase the page load time causing the site to be slower. You may furnish a simple URL tracking link, but javascript or cache bursting is not allowed. The tracking results for forum banners are furnished to you upon request.
