And vacations should be AT least 2 weeks. I NEED the long vacation -- the long weekends can't do it for me. Fincave I'll be looking forward to your opinions on the Dropkick Murphy's and the Screaming Trees. I'm pretty sure if you liked the other Flogging Molly, you'll like this one as well. Now that I'm back, I'm going to have to go pick up that Pogues CD I meant to get earlier. JCD | |||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One Hello all! Sonnie: I do like Johnny Cash, especially the later stuff that he did with Rick Rubin (American Recordings), there is something in his voice and the songs that he covered are really good and varied, Bob Marley, Nick Cave, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Neil Young, U2, Sting, Leonard Cohen, the list is endless. There are some really great songs sung with a lot of passion, it literally sends shivers up my spine listening to some of the stuff. Country music is not really my thing but Johnny Cash is so much more than country. Walk the Line was probably one of the first movies that I went to see in a theatre in 3-4 years and I loved it, great acting and a nice story with some great songs thrown in. Have it on DVD and have watched it twice and will definitely watch it again. JCD: Still have not really listened to the cds properly but have played them through once. Musically I like the Dropkick Murphys, I do have a soft spot for some punk music, lyrically it is a bit disappointing, Flogging Molly definitely win as far as lyrics go though neither come close to the Pogues IMO. I was surprised to hear Shane Macgowan singing on the Murphys cd, he is the former singer of the Pogues and the Popes. I have not really made my mind up about Screaming Trees, I purchased Mark Lanegans solo album 'Bubblegum' a while back and really like it, I then bought 'Whiskey for the Holy Ghost' which is good but not quite 'Bubblegum', as to Screaming Trees I will need to listen some more. 1995 2007 | |||

| Re: The SWAMP! - Volume One So I read the forum rules , but I just wanted to make sure - some forums don't like you mentioning other forums or talking about products not sponsored by on their site. Are there any rules here, or is all O.K. as long as it's HT related?(don't wanna stick my foot in my mouth right out fo the gate ) By the way, you've got a great selection of smilies. :raped: ![]() | |||
