| | Welcome to Volume One of the SWAMP! (Shackster's Weird And Mysterious Posts)... named by our very own Fincave! Here we will talk pretty much about nothing... or anything you like. Just say hello, good moaning (or morning), goodnight, or whatever floats your boat. The idea is to get to know each other and see just how good a friends we can become. Of course it wouldn't be fun without a few rules, huh? Rule number one: There are no rules! Okay... standard forum rules apply... no cursing, swearing, sexual innuendo, etc. EDIT: The consensus is we've decided to add a few rules. There are to be NO NEW THREADS other than SWAMP threads in the SWAMP forum. We will start a new thread after each 100 pages of posts. FLIP RULE: Beginning in February 2007 there will be a new flip rule enforced. There are 25 posts per page using the default forum post view setting. If you manage to get the first post of a new page (hence, when the page flips, hence "flip post"), you are required to post an image other than a smilie. Obviously an image within the forum rules guidelines. If you do not post a flip image within 24 hours of your post, your post may be deleted and given to the next poster. You may not post more than 3 consecutive post on the previous page in order to get to the flip post. In other words, you can not run out the post from post #22 to #25 just to get #1 on the following page. You may however post from #23 forward. When you are running for the flip, watch out for snipers. ![]() | |||

| Re: SOB - Volume One I got to pick up the keys to my new condo last night. Sure seems small to the house we are selling. It is only 1250 square feet. Our house is 2682 square feet. I hope that our new house can be finished by the end of the year. I might go crazy. We started packing the den last night. Man, I have a lot of movies that I have not seen for a long time. We only kept a few accesible while we live in the temporary quarters. I hope when we get to the townhouse, that I will be able to set up most of our theater stuff. I know that we cannot set up both SVS subs. I guess one of them has to go into storage. I wonder what life will be like with only on 16/46 pc plus sub? | | Re: SOB - Volume One You bad boy you! I remember when we put our house on the market here in Troy before we moved to Luverne. 10 days after we listed it we had a solid contract... had to be out in 13 days. Whew! What a rush. We had no choice but to move into the much smaller and older double wide that was parked on our land in Luverne. We lived there for aobut 7 months until our house was built. We had a big enclosed tractor trailer that we had parked out front to store stuff in. Then one bedroom was stacked full of boxes that we didn't unpack. It was pretty tight living. | |||

| Re: SOB - Volume One Thanks for making me feel better Sonnie. At least we have a one car garage to store all of our stuff in. I know that I am going to go bananas in this place. I did the last time we built a house. I do feel better know that you suffered more than I will in the next few months! | Re: SOB - Volume One a cute joke for all parents. I was packing for my business trip and my 3-year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, "Daddy, look at this," and stuck out two of her fingers. Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, "Daddy's gonna eat your fingers!" pretending to eat them before I rushed out of the room again. When I returned, my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face. I said, "What's wrong, honey?" She replied, "What happened to my booger?" | |||
