Hi I'm trying to decide between the RX-1 or the RX-FX from Monitor Audio for my rear speaker's,I have had two dealer's advise me differently my room is 10'wide by 20' long and open along the length of one side,HT and Music are important to me.
People who say they prefer Music over movies usually choose a monopole speaker where as for movies bi-poles or di-poles are the preferred choice but IIRC you can set the FX speakers to monopole if desired by removing links or replacing links, personally I prefer the diffused affect created by bi-pole or di-poles, well in fact I run Tri-poles and they sound brilliant with movies and music.
Hi so you can use those FX speakers for music that would be great ,how would you remove or replace a link?,when I looked at the rear of the FX I only saw a switch di-pole and bi-pole
I may be wrong Rico as I had the Silver MA range many years ago so please double check this with your dealer, as I do not want to misinform you, my preference though would be the FX range as I do prefer the diffused affect.
Sorry Rico I am and was referring to my M&K speakers which are CS29 Tri-poles, and are not made by any other brand to my knowledge as they created them.
