problem with Mitsubishi WS-55819

please help me my tv has been having a problem and i dont know how to fix it and it is annoying me. whenever i watch HDTV or play PS3 in the 1080i resolution, the edges of the screen are cut off. it is as if it is zoomed in on the screen and i cant fix it is there some sort of code i have to put in or somethign in the settings i have to fix? ive looked all over the settings and cant find anything to fix that and im not able to change the screen size because it doesnt let you in HD. does anybody know how to fix this?

My Dish Network 622 HD reciever controls the screen ratio itself and does not allow pass thru to the tv ratio settings. If you are using a HD reciever you might check your reciever manual for this same type of setup.

at first i thought it could be an issue with my PS3 because i had heard that the PS3 was having some problems with older HD sets, but then i noticed it cuts off the sides while watching HD tv through my cox cable box too. is it possible it could be an issue with my Yamaha AV receiver? I have an RX-V1000 hooked up to my Mitsubishi WS-55819 through component cables. I remember going through some online sites when looking for somethign else related to the ps3 and think i remember running across somebody who had the same problem as i did and that they had to input some sort of code into their tv.
