Mitsubish WS-55311 Flickering Problem

I have been having a problem, recently, with my Mitsubishi WS-55311 widescreen. I thought it was the cable box converter and re-booted, to no avail.

The problem is when turning on the set, the screen is fine. After five or more seconds, the screen starts flickering from the station being viewed to black. It continues back and forth, and I have no idea why this is occurring.

I tried checking all connections in the back and other devices plugged together. Still nothing.

Am hoping you experts have encountered similar problems and might have an idea of the problem here.

Does it do this on all sources or just the cable box? What resolution? Same on all channels? What input are you using for the cable box?

Thanks for the response. I read a thread somewhere about re-setting the AV button on the front of the television. I tried it and so far the tv is working normally.

Yes, when the problem occurred it happened using both the DVD player and DVR cable box.

Will see how long this stays this way. Thanks again!
