| Hello from the panhandle of Texas I've been lurking behind the scenes here for a few days just reading the wisdom that is so freely offered. I decided I should jump in and try the forums out for real. I think of myself as a middle-aged guy, though I don't know too many people who live to be 113! I have a wife of almost 25 years, a daughter who is a high-school sophomore and a son who is, sadly, deceased. I was an audio enthusiast from the time I was a teenager until I was a young single adult. Then I got married, had a family and a career and, well, life happened. So, my audio hobby got neglected for a long time as you can tell by my list of equipment below, most of which is 25 years old. Now retirement is not that far away and I am trying to resurrect my hobby. The first order of business is to get educated about the state of the art today, so be prepared to answer a lot of stup.., er basic questions. Hello to all and thanks in advance for helping to educate me. Yahama RX-V440 A/V receiver McIntosh C33 preamp Marantz 2230 receiver Klipsch Corner horn speakers RCA SD Tv B&O turntable | |||

| Re: Hello from the panhandle of Texas Thanks for the info Ron. Is the upgrade for the horns a DIY project? If so, do you have information on where to obtain the capacitors? Out here in the wide-open spaces, there isn't much local service available. | |||
