| New from PA Hello, I'm from Amish country, Lancaster, PA. I am finishing my basement and putting in a home theater. I am very intimidated by all the knowledge one needs to 'do this right'. Since I am just starting to put up studs, I want to do all I can now instead of later. I also have a limited budget, but don't mind the project taking a year or so to complete. I have the other half of my basement I can start to enjoy now... My goal is to make my HT the best it can be without spending ‘crazy’ money. If 'most people' would not recognize some aspect of my HT, then I probably would not spend the money on it... I hope that makes sense... Anyway, thanks for the help in advance... ![]() | |||

| Re: New from PA Hi Scott, Welcome aboard the Shack. Don't be intimidated learning and building is the best part of this hobby. Don't be afraid to ask questions as there is no such thing as a dumb question. as far as what you should do given that you are starting from scratch is make sure you run conduit to all the speakers and projector location and install a pull string so you can always add things to it later even after the walls are up.
