| Hello from Germany Hello, I noticed this forum while browsing for a software that allows me to measure the frequency response of my home theater room. The Room EQ Wizard and this forum look very promising, so I decided to register here. I'm 33 and living in a small town near Frankfurt, Germany. Once infected with the home theater virus over the years I gradually enhanced the experience. It started with a Sanyo Z1 and a 2m pull down screen, nowadays I use a DreamVision Dreambee (JVC HD1/RS-1 with customized case) on a 2.8m wide DIY acoustic transparent screen. Video and audio signals are routed through a Denon 3808 which drives a conglomerate of speakers: Magnat Zero6 fronts (18 years old but ) a Magnat Vector center, Nubert RS-5 dipoles and Eltax fullrange speakers as back surrounds. The subwoofer is a Nubert AW-1000. I plan to exchange this to a setup of 7 identical speakers in the future and using 2 (or even 4) subwoofers. Its not that it doesn't sound good allready, but I am sure there is much room for improvement. The cellar room itself has been darkened with black fabric and paint to nearly 100% to minimize light reflections back unto the screen. The main speakers are hidden behind the screen, and no electronics whatsoever are allowed in the front, I don't want to be bothered by displays, LEDs etc. I have attached some snapshots taken directly from the screen, using the Panasonic Viera 07 demo Blu-ray. Best regards, Gregor | |||
