| Greetings from Alabama Hello all, I'm kinda new to Home Theater and even new to forums. I joined hoping I could learn a great deal starting with do it yourself projector screens. I have seen alot of post and everyone seems to be painting. I was wondering if there is any building materials that would work well, something like bright white wall paneling since I'm trying to do it on the cheap. Also, I've heard of some clever home theater enthutist making an art cover for their screens that rolls down over the screen when not in use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | ||||

| Re: Greetings from Alabama Many folks are using laminate screens, like the kind you would finish a counter top out of. Also, blackout fabric, the kind you put behind curtains to make them impervious to light bleed-through. Still others are crafting their own AT screens using raw fabric purchased from wholesale source. Spend sometime in the projection forum and you'll see many different options. Welcome aboard.
