| Hello from Alabama Hello, all i'm enjoying the forum, a little about myself i'm a mgr. at a local cable provider, i don't have a dedicated room for my setup so its not as nice as most of yours but i'm proud just the same. i look forward to participating in the forum if my knowledge of catv can be useful to anyone please feel free to ask. Equipment List (family room) Display - Sony KDF-55e2000 7.1CH Receiver - Yamaha RX-V661 4 BOSE 161 FRONT AND REAR 2 BOSE 301 FRONT ACCENT JBL SUB10 2 YAMAHA BOOKSHELF NS-A526 REAR ACCENT YAMAHA CENTER NS-AC2 SONY BDP-S300 BLUE RAY DVD SCIENTIFC ATLANATA 8300HDC HDDVR CABLEBOX SONY PS2 The Yamaha speakers came with a HT in the box i bought about 15yrs ago they will be upgraded in future. The Bose 301s were bought new in 1984 (I was a 10th grader so i guess i've dated myself now) Bedroom Equp. Panasonic CT-30 HDTV Polaroid DRM-2001G DVD Recorder Yamaha RXD-390 Scientific Atlanta 3250HD cable box The Yamaha receiver in bedroom isn't connected no speakers. yes it's the HT in the box receiver. Also i'll save everyone the comments i know "BOSE no highs no lows" but i've been pleased plus i went to too many metal concerts back in the day. Last edited by DEW; 04-04-08 at 03:37 PM.. | Re: Hello from Alabama Welcome Dave, have some fun, learn a bunch and dont get wrapped up in what you dont have right now....most of us with larger systems and dedicted rooms all started like you did many years ago...its been 15 yrs for me. Back then we didnt have Hi-Def, DVD, Dolby Digital, or even large cable selection. So if you think about it...your way ahead of the game!  | ||||
