| Hi All! Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the forum. I was clueless about home theater concept until about five years ago. Actually, I stumbled onto the world of home theater back then, as I was doing research on which flat screen TV to buy. I spent lot time on AVS forum reading up on various plasma TVs and ended up with Pioneer. It is during this search I came across the concept of surround sound and home theatre. Unfortunately, back then with $5K spent for 43" monitor, I didn't have lot of budget left for the audio components...so I just got the cheapest speakers and a small subwoofer that I could afford. Once I hooked it all up, it was such a massive improvement over my old stereo sound from 27" tube TV, that I knew this was just the begining. Fast forward to present, recently I gave my old speakers to my brother-in-law and upgraded to Klipsch speakers (RB-61s, RC-52 & RS-52). I have a MFW-15 subwoofer on backorder (long wait) and of course I'm thinking already about upgrading to RF-82s for the front and using the 61s for rear in 7.1 config. And I'm sure that is not going to be the end of upgraditis. Anyway as a next step in my evolution on HT front, I started reading on what I can do to calibrate and tweak settings for the speakers to maximize their potential...and sooner or later all those forums/posts lead to Home Theatre Shack. I know I will learn a lot and someday hope to add to knowledge base here.Regards. | |||
