| hooking up buttkickers Hi everybody, JUst bought a buttkicker and I have question on hooking this up. I own a Bose system 28 series 1. If I get a y splitter and go from the speaker rca jacks on the bose and then to the buttkicker amp which speaker should I go from. Back speakers or front speakers on the Bose. Which is better? I have not received my buttkicker amp yet. Due in Tuesday but I can hardly wait. Also should I get two y splitters and go from both back speakers or bith front speakers and then combine them for the butt kicker amplifier or can I get it from just one speaker on my bose. I have also a harmony 890 and it is great. I have a blue light that uses z wave technology so when I watch a movie the blue light in back of the tv lights up the wall to create a mood that is great. THe harmony 890 can control the blue lights. I bought the wireless butkicker link but I will run the speaker wire under the rug until I know I have the butkicker set right. Then I will try the wireless link which I can get the harmony to automatcally turn the amp on when I watch a movie. Thanks | ||||

| Re: hooking up buttkickers First of all ... Welcome ![]() ... I don't know if this will work, but let's try it.I read the owner manual online and I see that there's no "Sub output" just L,C,R,SL, and SR; (usually on Sub out is where you connect the buttkicker amp to be able to get the .1 signal from movies" ... I assume that your Bose send that signal to all speakers L,C,R,SL,SR .. or the "module" is also the subwoofer (I'm not familiar with Bose).Try using a "Y" like you posted from L and R; but if you do it the buttkicker amp will get the full range signal ... I think you can control it with the crossover on the amp. If this doesn't work ... I'm sorry but you'll need to get a new AVR with a sub out; or if you want to try to get help from the manufacturer ![]() Don't be surprised if someone tells you that Bose is not good ... reality is that for the price, you can get something better (like in this case with a sub out). I have two buttkicker LFE in my HT ... I used the sub out on the AVR to connect it ![]() | ||||
