| Hi from Boston! I just heard about this forum over on audiokarma, and although I admit that I joined up in order to download the REW software, I plan to hang out for a while to see what's going on here. Although I only use 2-channel audio, I use my main rig for both audio and a/v, and I'm very keen on getting the best performance out of my system for a/v use. My first task here: try to figure out why my system sounds so bad when the audio is run through my Sony 34HS420, then into my stereo, with the volume control function on the TV turned on. When volume control through the TV is bypassed, all sounds great. I suspect it has something to do with BBE processing, but I haven't yet figured out how to disable this while retaining the ability to adjust the volume through the TV remote. . . . | ||||

| Re: Hi from Boston! Hi judge, Welcome to the Shack! Enjoy your stay here with us. I am thinking that it is the BBE as well, there is usually a way to turn it off but only if you can get access to the service menu but I wouldn't play in there unless you are sure what you are adjusting as you can really mess up your display if not done properly. If you ask this question in this thread I am sure someone will help you.
