Welcome to the shack. If you're using HDMI with your Denon, that should do it as long as your AVR supports DolbyTrueHD and the like. If your Denon does not have support for Dolby TrueHD and the like, you can set it to PCM, but you still need HDMI. Also, and there's no easy way to say this, you might want to do something about your "Caps Lock" key ![]() Once again, welcome. | Re: Im new too Welcome from one newbie to another. Although I'm not sure what model Denon AVR you have, it sounds similar to the way I run my Onkyo 605, which also reads "multichannel" when playing Blu Rays. When the PS3 is set to PCM, it will do the decoding and then send it on to your receiver. In an effort not to embarrass myself, I'll avoid spewing details and jargon I'm not completely familiar with and just say, I believe you are properly set up. (Assuming you're connected via HDMI.)
