Good day

Just like to introduce myself. I grew up at the foot of my dad's workbench, he being a radio engineer I basically have electronics in my genes. Turned my back on electronics after high school and I've been back an trying to catch up since.
My latest aquisition was a pair of entry level good speakers called EX-66 by M-Audio. As I am an active member in a band and I experiment with my own production stuff I have gone with studio type equipment and not home theatre.
My question to any one who may have some technical info on the EX-66's (I wrote to M-Audio about two months ago but didn't get too far).
question: at very low listening levels (say -64db on my E-mu 1616M interface's 'Patchmix') I hear ghostly little 'flutters / puslations'. I suspect that this could be the onboard DSP processing impulse responses or something.
Any info on this would be great, please don't spare the details if you have them.
