New home studio

Hi all,

I've got a spare bedroom into which I stuffed a sixteen channel digital recording and monitoring setup (WinXP & Sonar). I have two Yamaha HS80M monitors and now need to get the room reasonably under control. I just got a DBX RTA-M and downloaded REW. The next think I'll search for is a calibration file for the RTA-M.

I'm working through calibrating REW with a Tascam FW-1804 sound card at the moment. My wife has the TV remote. I'll be at this awhile.

I've been shooting my room for the last few days using REW. It was highly recommended on a home studio forum I frequent (studio-central). I can't believe REW is free. It's capabilities are literally beyond my comprehension. So now I'm reading the manual and playing around. When I get to the point where the docs don't answer a question, I'll ask. That should be a few months from now.
