While I got you here I wonder if could help out my memory. Has anyone taken prints of posters or artwork and had a local t-shirt printing type shop transfer the print to loose weave fabric. Then used that printed fabric to cover semi-rigid fiberglass to make room treatments? I suppose any followup to this should go down in the Home Theater Acoustics forum here which I see you have already found.

As for printing on fabric, it can certainly be done provided it's the right kind of printing. Most T Shirt shops are more iron-ons which are solid and not acceptable in front of treatments. What you really want is something similar to ink-jet printing.

You can actually go to a print shop like Kinkos that has a large format plotter and the capability to print to cloth.
