Hello from Wash State

Hi; I'm John from Wash State near Tacoma. I arrived after Mt Saint Helens- so I can only answer to the aftermath of that event; I did visit the site in 1997. As for my HT interests; I had a basic home theater set-up some years ago; and after moving in my current home decided to take it notch or two further. As I was upgrading the lower level of my home, I opened the walls and ran inwall THX wire for 8 channels (LF-CF-RF; LS-RS; LR-CR-RR); I also ran wire for 2 transducers and 2 buttkickers for the sofa. Room is 16'X24'; I also have 3 X audio transformers (20 amp ea) for power source. 65" plasma, sony BluRay (just recently purchased); M&K 150 speakers 2 M&K subwoofers; and power amps for it all.
It's not all conected yet. I'm piecing it back together after a clothes washer accident ALMOST washed the audio system away.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing about other systems, problems and solutions.

Great to see all the information and HT buffs here on this site. Anyone have recommendations for DIY speaker wire terminations; either banana or spades to my M&K 150THX speakers? That's one of my next issues to tackle.

If you want to look at and get your hands on before you buy and don't mind a trip to Bellevue check out Vetco Electronics. I got a lot of my wall mount interconnects there.
