| Greetings from Mr. Lamb Fries! I have been an audio enthusiast all my life, and got into Home Theater a few years ago. I am doing research on building my own DIY sub, and my search brought me here. I have been reading for days about drivers, amps, and box/tube designs and come to one conclusion...this is a great forum! I am sure I will have some questions but thought I would introduce myself first. Thanks for the education!!! | |||

| Re: Greetings from Mr. Lamb Fries! I live in Oakdale, on the edge of Robinson. Your forum name is similar to one over at Audioholics!? I hang out there a bit...but now I am looking to build my own sub. I am lost on which driver, amp and box design. I like the reviews of the soundsplinter Rl-P 15 with a pro amp (maybe the beringer a500 or 1500) and not sure about the design...still not ready to pull the trigger. Any suggestions??? Greg I checked your equipment list...How do you like your DIY sub? When I first started looking, that was the set up I was considering Searching for DIY Sub...Driver, Amp, and Box Design! | Re: Greetings from Mr. Lamb Fries! when you are finished with your box design post it and the TS parameters and i'll have a look at it. Bear in mind if you get an amp without a crossover built in that you WILL need a crossover in your system otherwise you'll get muddy bass. I have attached a box design spreadsheet. | |||

| Re: Greetings from Mr. Lamb Fries! Yeah, Google Khellandros66, see where all I have been hanging out A SS RP-L 15in D4 witha Behringer EP1500 sounds good to me. Box wise a 100L ported looks good and a 60L sealed too, depending on which sound you like. ~Bob | |||
