Hi all,

It is a pleasure to be here. I have gleaned a lot of information from this site as I went through the process of purchasing my svs sub and then the necessity of getting a bfd and using rew to get the set-up. I figured that it was probably about time that I join the forum and contribute (or at least attempt to, though I am often overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge I find on here).

The crazy part is that I AM an engineer - at least by degree. The problem is that I'm a mechanical engineer with just a little bit of EE knowledge - which usually means that I end up doing a lot of research on the web and then trying to do things myself (everything, according to my wife, who graciously puts up with my attempts at diy projects (like my previous subwoofer BIG and bad, unfortunately really bad for movies - hence my addition of an SVS earlier this year - who knew twin 12's with limited excursion wouldn't work well for movie soundtracks but would sound just fine for most music? Not me, but apparently most people on these boards!).

Anyway, thanks again and I look forward to increasing my knowledge base a bit more!
