Hi,

I'm Dan from Fredericton, New Brunswick.

I am glad to have found this site. It seems very well set up and I will probably visit quite often.
however I am a lurker for the most part, so you may not hear from me but I will be here.

Been interested in music and audio for about 40 years, just about all my life.

I've played music in all kinds of situations, most of amateur or semi-pro nature.
Over the years I've also operated a mobile disco, a recording studio and a sound/lighting outfit.
Since I've never quit my day job, these were all done as hobbies, be it serious ones.

I am mostly interested in setting up my small personal recording studio with the new tools(low $) available and like to keep a bit up to date as to what it available as far as equipment, techniques, etc..

This site, along with a few others I visit regularly, seems like a nice place for this.

Bob Katz's website and book are also great home recording and mastering resources with some interesting gain techniques, monitor set up and digital audio explanations.
