| Just Introducing myself... Hey everyone.... My name is Joe and I live in Duluth, GA (just northeast from Atlanta). I finished (well, is any home theater *ever* finished??) my home theater back in 2001. My room is 17' x 14' (seats 8) and I have a Dwin HD-700 CRT projector, TransScanner II scaler, Denon 5800 receiver/amp, Toshiba (forgot the model) DVD player, Phillips CD player, Bass Shakers under all of the seats, Stewart MicroPerf screen and Vienna Acoustices L/C/R speakers with Mirage surrounds and subwoofer. I have calibrated the audio myself and have had my projector calibrated by an ISF certified person (although I make a pass on the convergence every 6 months or so). I control the whole mess with a Crestron system (actually, the whole house is Crestron controlled) which I have (mostly) programmed myself. I use a Lutron HomeServe system for my lighting control (which is integrated into the Crestron system) for both the theater and the house. I hope to learn something from everyone here and hope to contribute as well. | ||||

| Re: Just Introducing myself... My name is Howard and I live near St. Louis . I came to this forum following a thread about a DIY speaker project. It looks like there is quite a bit of activity here in that area. All my life I wanted to build speakers and finally now I have but I still want to learn more about the Passive Crossover Designing software so I can go the rest of the way. Up to now I have always copied someone else's design and I want to be able to make my own. I hope I can add something to what is being done here. Howard | ||||
