Hello all,

Posted a couple of times to resolve some newbie problems using REW, but figured I should properly introduce myself. My name is Matthew Hamre and I live in Rohnert Park, CA, about an hour north of San Francisco. I'm at work right now, and my memory is not great, so you will have to forgive the equipment list below. In a temporary place right now, down to a 3.1 setup from my 5.1 setup before. My fiancee and I are going to be moving to Novato in a couple of months, and I'm looking forward to setting up some new equipment in the new place. I've managed to get REW working from a laptop, and I've got a BFD on order to experiment with sub tuning in the current place.

Definitely looking forward to picking the brains of the people here, particularly regarding room acoustics and setup, and interpreting all of the impressive info that REW can provide.

Thanks for hosting a very impressive forum .

A new place for an HT is like a blank canvas. I can't wait to start again myself!

We are the Shack. Existence as you know it is over.
We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own.
You will be mapped. Resistance is futile.

I'm about to give the Ascends a try with a new Yamaha receiver. Your thoughts would be appreciated in a thread I've just started...
