Hi from Worcester

I just moved from Brooklyn to Worcester, MA and now have enough room to do HT. Sharing others experiences is a nice way to learn. Thanks all.

I have been gathering the pieces to do REW as my new SVS sub is on it's way. It is the first replacement piece for my 8 year old Sony box system. Things will be a bit lopsided for a while.

Yeah, you are going to be VERY lopsided. You'll need to replace you main speakers ASAP. Actually I would have recommended doing that before the sub. Generally the subwoofer is the last upgrade when you are making a leap like yours.

Thanks for the welcome and speakers are next if not all that soon. I have a few more selections that I need to hear before I can decide on what will work best for me. Many of the ones I want to try, I found on this forum. Too many choices...
