Hello from an Audio guy

Hi folks,

Looks like a nice place you have here. I'm living 25 miles N. of San Francisco in a nice little rural community. Cows and horses and trees. I'll be hanging around the acoustics section and learning how to use REW. I have a small but well appointed music studio in my house and am getting serious about making it sound as good as it can. Thanks for making this place available. Very cool! (maybe if I hang around long enough I'll start a HT too...... nah, I have to dump most available money into my studio, two expensive hobbies is too much)

Thanks for the welcome folks, I'll be hanging around and making a general pest of myself for a while. Sir Terrence, nice to see a "neighbor" around. Yeah, I lived in SF for 25 years. Most of my sound work was to try and keep the traffic noises out of my flat, now I just plan around the bird calls.

Well Ok, if you must know... I have the beginnings of one. Vandersteens plugged into a Rotel power amp. My 30" Toshiba is the weak link right now. I'm waiting for the 56" plasma to come down to about $1000!
