| Hello from Durham, NC Hi fellow HT nuts. I've been in this hobby for over 20 years and I love IT! I am currently building a two manifold IB system with four 18" drivers in each manifold. This is my first time experimenting with an IB system and I am very excited to hear what it sounds like. I recently upgraded my projector to a JVC DLA-RS1 to be shown on my 155" screen. The RS-1's picture is nothing short of amazing. It makes my ancient Sony VPL-10WHT that died after 15,000+ hrs look horrible. I am still using my old M&K MX-5000 THX system with two MX-5000 subs. It sounds really nice but I have been longing to upgrade it for quite some time now. Once the IB system is installed and tuned I am going to start working on some HUGE DIY LCR speakers that I will need ALLOT of advice on. I am currently using a Toshiba HD-AX2 for HD DVD and a Sony PS3 for Blu ray until the new Panni's come in next month. Well that is enough rambling for now. I look forward to learning allot from this forum. Best wishes to all... Dirtyharriett P.S... if anyone wonders about my login name... I am also into large guns BIG TIME!!! | |||

| Re: Hello from Durham, NC Hi, I have so many favorites that it is hard to chose just one so I will rank them by category. The favorites that I own in each category are as follows... Belt fed - 1919A4 (but will be replaced by the M2HB that is on the way), BMG - Barrett M95, Rifle - Colt AR15, Pistol - Colt 45 with laser. Everything I have is tricked out with the latest in high tech accessories and I have enough range time to know how to use them. I guess you could say I am a serious survialist BUT HT has ALWAYS been my number one love. Nothing like escaping for a few hours from the rat race by sitting down to watch a good movie. Pure heaven in my book!!! | |||

| Re: Hello from Durham, NC dirtyharriet- Welcome to HTS from a fellow NC resident. I live a couple hours from you near the beach (Swansboro area). This is a great site with a large base of knowledge. You should be able to find good help on your aforementioned projects. I also enjoy shooting occasionally, and have a small collection of guns from when I used to hunt more. Keep us posted on how your projects go, that helps others who may be considering the same.
