| Uhh Hello Hi folks, My name is Aaron. I've been lurking on the forum for a while now trying to figure out what to do for a project I'm working on. Besides the home theatre type stuff, the project will basically hide all of my A/V equipment and have a IR repeater to get the signal to the equipment with a motorized tray that will lift the equipment out of a piece of furniture. Hopefully that made sense. AND if you know of any small electric motors that can lift about 20 lbs (probably with some small gears) that would be AWESOME! Anyways. I am a new resident of Houston. I just moved here from Austin, where I lived and went to school for 23 years (I'm 24yo now). THANKS! | ||||

| Re: Uhh Hello Hi there, Aaron, and welcome to the shack. Not sure exactly how your project is going to work, but if I were to try something like that, I might consider a power window motor from a car junkyard... -- Otto | ||||

| Re: Uhh Hello Hello Aaron and Welcome, glad to have you with us. Otto's idea might work out pretty well, 'course you'll likely need a 12V. transformer or something. Mark | ||||
