| Hello everybody Hello Everybody. I'm new here on the forum. At the beginning of the year I purchased a Panasonic TH-50PH9UK. So far I have been very happy with it. It is much better than the 27" Sony I had prior. So now is the time to upgrade my audio. I'm looking into the ONKYO TX-SR705 because #1 it's in my price range and #2 it seems to have a lot of good features. One thing I'm trying to do is figure out my connections from the receiver to the monitor. HDMI, DVI, or RGB component? My monitor is only 1080i and of course I want to get the best picture possible. I've read a couple of the forums on this subject but everybody just goes back and forth. I would just like to buy what I need for the best picture possible and enjoy it for a while. Any help would be appreciated. | |||

| Re: Hello everybody Welcome Brian! I have the 705 and you won't be disappointed with it. If you have a Blu-Ray or HD DVD player, I would definitely recommend going with HDMI so you can enjoy the advanced audio options these formats have. | |||
