| Hi from northern Nevada My name is Ron Grube. I'm a long-time TV and audio technician, having started my own shop just out of high school in 1962. Worked a few times for others, spent 4 years in the US Navy 1965-69, but mostly on my own or with my younger brother John, now deceased. Just keeping in touch with HT developments and this board looked like a great place to exchange information. I live in a very small town called Carlin, halfway between Reno and Salt Lake City on Interstate 80, and have the dubious distinction of having the last repair facility for several hundred miles. Either stubborn or stupid, have outlasted many competitors over the years. Same spot for about 35 years now. If not for the Net, I'd have lost touch a long time ago -- don't know how I did without it so many years. Pleased to meet y'all! Ron | |||

| Re: Hi from northern Nevada drdoan, the old can I was on plane-guarded several carriers in the late 60's, Enterprise and the old Ticonderoga most commonly. Pretty sure we got duty with Kitty Hawk also. I can remember some jerk radioman on the Big E asking us if we were drawing sub pay after watching the waves break over the mast at 27 knots...... Probably not going to be a real active member here, mostly being a TV guy, but these days you just don't know. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome, sure we'll be chatting on and off. Ron | |||
