| New member Darrell in Moose Jaw Hi. I've been interested in home theater ever since I plugged my 2 channel stereo into the earphone jack of my Dad's 20" TV 25 years ago. It was amazing.
I have progressed a bit since then. Not as much as I'd like, since I have to do it on a "wife approved budget" lol, but I've put together enough odds and ends to have an enjoyable listening experience. My audio consists of: an Onkyo 7.1 with a vintage Hitachi HMA-8500 (wich I'm trying to find another one to bridge to it. Any sellers out there?). A 12" Klipsch reference sub plus a 8" Energy sub, Boston Accoustics towers, Klipsch RVX42 center,
Klipsch RS25 surrounds and Infinity in-ceiling rear surrounds. My TV is a 50" Panisonic Plasma and a Panisonic upconverting DVD player. I'm waiting for the industry to settle on HD or BluRay before I upgrade my DVD. I'm thinking of adding a Behringer DEQ-2496 RTA/equalizer to enhance my music listening experience. Mostly because the eq in my Onkyo is stupid and frustrates me. When you go into the menu to make adjustments it turns of the sound so you can't hear your adjustment until you exit the menu. Dumbest thing I ever heard of.
Has anyone here used a Behringer RTA for home audio/home theater before?
