| Hello from the Pacific Northwest Hi. I stumbled on this site while looking for room equilization info. I'm a newly retired engineer looking to do some some long deferred optimization of my Home Theater system. The equipment is mostly older stuff.
The receiver is a Yamaha--soon to be replaced with an Onkyo 705. Speakers are all Theil, with CS2's for the mains and bookshelf coaxials for the rest. The subwoofer is an old DIY vented sonotube that I stole from my stereo system. I built it so long ago I can't remember what drivers are in it. Pictures are supplied by a Toshiba 56" DLP rear projector. Sources are OTA, DirecTV HD PVR and a Toshiba A35 HD-DVD.
The stereo system consists of Dayton-Wright ESLs driven by 2 Adcom GFA555's and an assortment of ancient technologies--turntable, cassette deck, reel to reel tape and an CD player.
I'm excited to have found this site and the expertize that seems available. |
