I'm from Melbourne Australia, and stumbled on this site whilst searching for cal files for an RS 33-4050 spl meter that arrived today. Have to learn heaps about using True RTa and Room EQ to make some use of it.
Years ago I was heavily inot HiFi and in fact spent a couple years selling it at a place called Encel HiFi - a very upmarket establishment. Went through HiFi gear like crazy and slowly dropped out over the years. Only thing I have from those days is an NAD 3155 amp.
Now building a home theatre based around a Yamaha RXV-657 Receiver. have a couple of small fronts built from kits - no name woofer with Vifa D19 tweeters. Also a couple of el cheapo Chinese rear speakers (that are actually veeeery good much to my surprise) and a really cheap sub. Am about to start work on a much bigger sub (15" driver - still a cheapy, but by all accounts not bad). Will then add a center front that I'll design and build.
Got the rs meter to help figure out what was happening in my room...
Will probably drive you all mad with questions.
