I'm glad to have found this site while researching HTPC speaker calibration. It's a lot to take in, but that's how I know it will be worth it.

When it comes to AV equipment I'm a bit of a online company junkie.
I'll be calibrating a system consisting of:

Home built HTPC running SageTV
NEC 42xr4 HDTV
Outlaw 1070 Receiver
Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1's
SV Sound PB13-Ultra

Good to have my HTPC people. I don't have a dedicated box myself, but I've recently built a computer that I'm using part-time for HTPC duties, and I've built Two HTPCs for my 50+ year old father, and he can't live without them.
