Hello from Northern Indiana

Hi.

Well lets see.... A bit about myself.

I finally bit the bullet and bought a house. My girlfriend applauds me. However, Since I have a house I need a........ HT!

I have been working on it bit by bit. Its been a long haul for me. I bought an Optoma HD70 projector and have it running thru my computer via vga right now. Made my own screen from 1x3s and blackout cloth. Works fantastic! Now its time to upgrade the sound system. I recently added a Onkyo 605 reciever (came today!) and have a paradigm PDR 10 subwoofer.

I want to build my own speakers and realize the challenge. Im very mechanically minded (Work on servers/High speed printers for a living). I also have experience with wood.

I really like the amount of information that everyone shares here. The site is really a pleasure to lurk in and read up on everything. What clinched it for me was getting the notification of new versions of software and they offer linux compatibility!!!

Well, Ill just be lurking around absorbing knowledge for a while. I can tell I have much to learn <grin>.
