| Greetings from South Africa As introductions go, I'm from Cape Town, South Africa. New to the forum, not new to Audio. I have my own Acoustics company, TrueSound Acoustics. My company imports and distributes such brands as Auralex Acoustics, RPG Inc, Green Glue etc. We have in the past been predominantly studio oriented but with home theater becoming more accessible to people here we certainly couldn't stay out of the market. My testing equipment varies from the Sencore SP395 Audio Toolbox to the ETF5 software, CARA and now I'm going to try out the Room EQ Wizard. Don't know what more to say other than I am passionate about good sound and feel very strongly that your room can never be discounted in the process. I argue for good room builds before thinking that an equalizer can sort out modal issues. Keep up the good work. Education is paramount to the upliftment of us all.  Alec | |||

| Re: Greetings from South Africa Hi Guys, thanks for the welcome. I was wondering if any of you have heard of the Audyssey MultiEQ system for room equalization. Obviously this is my main interest and I know you have the REW so I was wondering if anyone had had a look yet and had any opinions? I know for instance that IK Multimedia has now made it into a plugin, Calibration mic included, for the Pro Audio Market. Let me know please. Thanks Alec | |||

| Re: Greetings from South Africa Alec, I have the AudysseyXT incorporated in my Denon AVR-2807. I can't say enough good things about it. When properly set up, it made a significant improvement in my HT system. It even seemed to smooth out the bass enough so that I don't use my BFD EQ anymore. It is an amazing system and I know you will like it.
