ok cover, bad stand October 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this thinking it would protect my new Kindle from fingerprint smudges and also hold it up so I could read without holding the Kindle.
It will keep the Kindle cleaner, but the stand feature is worthless. It lacks the strength to keep the Kindle upright in anything less than a straight up position. In other words, if you want to tilt the kindle back a bit to make the angle easier to read, the unit just falls over. And you can forget about touching the "page turn" button without it collapsing also.

This is absolutley wonderful. I never feel like I have to have a second book with me. It is light, convenient and easy to use. I find that it is easy to navigate and the instructions and answers to questions are at my finger tips. An amazing product.
Kindle - greatest thing since sliced bread October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been wanting a kindle ever since I read about them here at Amazon and with the last special they came into the price range I was willing to pay. IT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER! I bought several books the day I bought my kindle, and when it arrived and I powered it up, the books were already loaded. The only thing I do not like is that the battery goes from a full charge to ZERO in less then an hour with no warning. I was under the impression that the battery would last longer based on the information written on the amazon website, so buyer beware don't forget to tkae your charger with you!!
All it is promised to be October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading everything I could about the Kindle and procrastinating my purchase over and over because of the price, I finally decided that I was worth the cost. Now, I am not sure I am really worth the $349 but the Kindle is!!! I take it everywhere and get comments and questions wherever I go. (Geeze, people, I just want to read!) It is so much fun shopping for new books from the comforts of my own home, my living room, porch, bedroom, and even the 'library'. I had thougth of waiting for version 2 but am so glad I did not. I would have missed out on a lot of reading fun. I am going to ask for Amazon.com gift certificates for Christmas so I can buy some accessories and, of course, more books.
New Kindle October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love my new Kindle. It is with me 24/7....An unexpected plus was when I read regular books my eyes become tired and I have to put it down and do something else for awhile. With the Kindle, I have no problem reading as long as I want. It must be that gray scale thing going on. It is great and I look forward to reading every day.
