5 out of 5 stars Teac Stereo Receiver & Amplifier   August 17, 2008
I've used this receiver for about a month now, and it does everything I expected. The electronic tuning and station presets work fine, the sound quality is excellent and there are plenty of inputs for all my components. I didn't want a surround sound receiver, since I already have one that's used for my tv. I needed a 2-speaker system that would accept inputs from my old turn-table and cassette player/recorder, plus an auxiliary input for an XM tuner. Shipping was very fast, it arrived just a few days after the order was placed. It probably took me longer to disconnect my old tuner with all the wires than it did to hook up the new Teac receiver. If you're looking for a solid stereo receiver, I don't think you'll go wrong with this Teac unit.

3 out of 5 stars Good enough   August 12, 2008
Adequate. Don't lose the remote control; it has a mute button that is missing from the receiver itself. The speaker binding posts are the cheapest, flimsiest excuses for binding posts that I have ever seen, and I've seen many. They are still better than the alternative, though.

5 out of 5 stars stereo reciever   July 30, 2008
when your stereo speaker goes out on one side, youreally appreciate "stereo"and even better it got there before i got irritated. they just need to make it other than black

4 out of 5 stars good   July 23, 2008
I'm no audiophile but this sounds really good to me and it's cheap. I paired it with some sony tower speakers I got on clearance at best buy and plug an xm receiver into it. The combo was cheaper than my bose radio and it sounds a million times better. Also it's got 2 zones so I wired some outdoor speakers to it as well.

The dimensions listed on this device are incorrect. I ordered this item because I have a shallow space and because the depth listed is 9.5 inches. However, according to the manufacturer's web site, the device is actually 13 inches deep. [...]
