Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
At 150-watts per-channel, the NAD C 372 integrated amplifier is capable of powering today's most demanding speakers with power and finesse. The massive internal amplifier features a Holmgren? toroidal transformer and NAD's proprietary PowerDrive? technology. The preamp section is equally impressive, boasting seven line inputs, main-amp inputs, and two preamp outputs. Inside the NAD is a 'Pure Class A' preamp and driver stage modules using the latest high performance semi-conductors. The power supply uses a massive, custom wound toroidal transformer and 105C smoothing capacitors. An enhanced tone control circuit and PCB layout reduces distortion and noise to unprecedented levels. PowerDrive Circuitry Rules! The C 372 benefits from NAD's proprietary PowerDrive circuit topology, now well established and used throughout the NAD product range. The PowerDrive design allows the C 372 to deliver maximum performance under virtually any circumstance, independent of the loudspeakers it is driving. The circuitry automatically senses the impedance characteristics of the loudspeaker and will then adjust its power supply settings to best cope with that specific load. NAD takes a stand against the meaningless 'brochure power' touted by many manufacturers by offering what it calls "Full Disclosure power specs." According to NAD, "We specify minimum continuous power, across the entire audible range of frequencies, at rated distortion, for both 8 and 4 ohms with all channels driven simultaneously. Perhaps even more importantly, we also specify Dynamic Power at 8, 4, and even 2 ohms, which better describes the way the amplifier will perform in the real world, with musical signals and reactive loudspeaker loads." Connectivity and Flexibility Flexibility is another NAD strong point. The C 372 has seven line inputs (including two tape in / outputs with dubbing facility). And the pre-amplifier section can be separated from the power amplifier for easy upg

5 out of 5 stars The best 2-channel integrated amp for the money.   January 28, 2008

I have owned this amp along with a NAD 525BEE cd player for about a month and have been very pleased with both. The amp stays cool and sounds fantastic. It pays music at high volumes with ease, never gets harsh. The amp is hooked up to my older Mirage M3si loudspeakers, they really open up with the NAD C372. The sound is much better than my previous Yamaha surround receiver. If you are looking for a solid all-around performer this is the amp for you, can't do better for $1000.
