| Customer Reviews:
Another great value and wonderful product from Nuforce July 30, 2008 I am the proud owner of the Nuforce Icon, and I decided to add on this power supply with hopes that it would improve an already great user experience.
Needless to say, it did. I've noticed the proverbial "veil lifted from the speakers" that made everything from lows to midrange to highs seem crystal clear. I'm using mediocre speakers (Klipsch ProAudio 2.1) and some basic Monster speaker cable, so it's not like I've invested thousands of dollars in my computer setup.
Basically, I have almost exclusively Apple Lossless tracks (about 1970 out of 2000), with a few 256 kbps files downloaded from Amazon (no 128 k!). Everything sounds truer to life, especially in terms of background music. This would include bandmate chatter, subtle movements in a classical piece, and jazz sessions that make you feel like you're two rows from the stage.
All in all, I highly recommend this power supply upgrade to anyone who bought a Nuforce Icon and is looking to affordably max out the possibilities of an already great amp/DAC.
