Works great out of the box June 20, 2008 I purchased this receiver for my home theater system, and have not been disappointed. It took very little time to set up, and sounded great from the get-go. It has a "quick setup" menu which made it very easy to configure. For a very reasonable price, this is an outstanding receiver that delivers great sound. I also bought one for my dad. Highly recommended.
Decent sound for the money.... February 15, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
But a little weak on bass. You'll need a sub woofer. Nice features
Great Quality and Easy Set - Up January 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great receiver and was very easy to set up. The quick set up walks you through the process asking you questions in order to get the best sound possible. Took less then 3 minutes. It also has everything I was looking for in a receiver. Bought it to go with JBL Venue speakers and the combination of the two I would recommend to anyone.
Very good entry level receiver January 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this from Bestbuy during thanksgiving sale for $109. For that price, this is the only receiver with 100watt/channel & 5.1 output . Note that the optical input connector on this receiver works perfectly with toslink cable. I paired this receiver with klipsch F-3 and 10" klipsch sub-woofer. The inputs are from my desktop(4 channels, front and surround) and macbook(optical input). I am happy with the sound quality except for couple of minor issues. When I put my ears close to the speakers, I hear a hissing sound even with no input. Also I found the right speaker gets more power than the left one.
Top shelf receiver December 2, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Has all the "stuff" you need or want to hook up to your home theater. I set it up to my new Toshiba REGZA HDTV and have unbelievable sound for movies and cable shows. Even makes the local news anchors sound good. Takes some time to get familiar with remote and other operational instructions, but worth the investment in time.
