Amazon.com Product Description Whether used as a traditional stereo speaker or a front speaker in a comprehensive surround sound system, each BIC America Venturi DV64 two-way tower speaker is designed for high performance. The speaker features dual 6.5-inch poly/graphite woofers and dual passive radiators to ensure impressive mid tones and extra bass extension. Meanwhile, the 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter reproduces the high frequencies with confident, silky results, creating a frequency response of 29 Hz to 21 kHz. In addition, the DV64 speaker is powerful enough for almost any application, with a maximum recommended amplifier power of 200 watts and a minimum of 10 watts. Listeners will also appreciate the speaker's elegant appearance, which is topped off by the gracefully tall profile and black laminate finish. For stereo applications, listeners should purchase two DV64s, but for surround sound applications, the speakers perform particularly well when matched with other BIC America models, which are tonally matched to deliver a balanced audio profile. The company recommends using its DV62si speakers for the rear channels, the DV62CLR-S as the center speaker, and the V1215 subwoofer for top-level bass performance. All the speakers in the DV line are magnetically shielded to prevent video interference when located near a TV or monitor. The speaker measures 8.5 by 38 by 9.25 inches (W x H x D) and carries a generous seven-year limited warranty on parts and labor. What's in the Box One DV64 speaker, warranty card, user's manual.
Product Description Venturi DV64 towers are a perfect match to the DV62CLR-S center. Dual 6 1/2" poly/graphite woofers handle the bass and the midrange, while the 3/4" soft dome tweeter delivers silky, airy treble. Dual passive radiators deliver extended bass response. The DV64 towers are video-shielded.

A solid speaker. March 8, 2010 R. Mynatt (Midwest.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't let the product images fool you. These speakers are nice and slender, look beautiful and have a small "footprint," so they will fit just about anywhere. As other reviewers have said, 30-40 listening hours loosens the speakers up and that is where they really shine. Beautiful sound, even at low volumes. The speakers are very well built - Very sturdy. Readily accept "banana plugs" (which I highly recommend you take the time to use). Even in other parts of the house, the stereo sounds good. Really good. I use it primarily for listening to music of all genres, from 70s funk and classic rock to metalcore, hip hop, dubstep, and 60's country tunes. Best speaker for the money. Plus, they are magnetically shielded, so you can have them near your televisions without worry.
Awesome speakers February 23, 2010 Francis H. Ku (San Jose, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought them solely based on ratings on online reviews to replace the Polk Audio M70. The Polks were great but I had to crank up the volume to really bring them to life. But with the BIC I am able to appreciate music and movies at low levels, which is neighbor friendly living in a townhouse. Sound is clear and vibrant, just like others said in their reviews. The bass is solid and tight, not boomy and muddy. I'm playing it daily for about 2 hours a day to let them break in and hope they'll get better.
These speakers are an incredible value! January 23, 2010 D. Doornek 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love these speakers.I have 4 pairs of them right now.To me they sound fantastic. They have a very tight bass sound which is very important to me.I'm 47.I've owned many speakers in my life time.I subscribe to Sight and Sound, and Home Theater.I've never seen these reviewed. It seems these magazines are kind of snobbish. They feel a speaker must cost a great deal of money to sound good.I would like to see them do blind testing of all their products they review.I think the results would be interesting.I own some Polk RT 2000's that cost me $2000 a pair. They sound very good but I seriously can not really tell the difference between these.Buy them!
I've also listened to the DV84's.They don't sound as good. The bass is not really tight sounding. It's not as well defined.
Non-maindtream brand takes sound to great values December 7, 2009 A. Smith 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought these speakers 6 years ago. I have used them for HT and 2-channel listening. These are musical in a 2 channel set up with limitations. I am passing them onto my mother only because I did a serious upgrade from $200 speaker to $2400 speakers. The BIC DV64s are worth the money if you are looking for good sound, quality build, and your priorities demand a sensible budget.
Excellent Sound November 19, 2009 T. Stuart (Central Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned several speakers over the years from Pioneer to Jensen, Kenwood and Panasonic and to date these BIC DV64's are the best speakers I ever owned. They sound very clear, no distortion at all. I use them as part of my home entertainment system and listening to music from Classic rock, hard rock, classical, new age, no matter what I listen to, these speakers always sound great.
