 Possibly Bulletproof! Accessory issues.. March 6, 2010

BULLETPROOF: OK, so here's the deal.. I've dropped "my precious" so many times it's not even funny. i love my music..collected over years worth of stuff and for some, the file on my ipod is the only trace of that song. before I even got "my precious" i got this case for it. So, "my precious" has been dropped probably 12-15 times? out of my car, walking/jogging/biking down the street (probably about 9x), working out, and once from a 2nd floor window (don't ask). EVERY SINGLE TIME my heart stopped and I freaked out but suffered nothing but superficial scratches and mini dents on this case. The worst fall.. i'll let you guess which incident that was... the top part of the case fell off but "my precious" was fine thanks to Incipio and Apple! Woohoo! I mean .. it's gotta be bulletproof at this point..
ASSEMBLY: yeah, it's not the easiest to put together. You first slide on this rubber like sleeve and then the two parts of this case. The little "wings" on the top half of the case are semi flexible so that helps. It's worth the struggle though because I figure if it being a little tough to put on makes it 10x more difficult for it to ever come off.
ACCESSORIES: unfortunately, this awesome case comes with one drawback... the case makes access to the headphone jack a little bit difficult depending on the jack you want to put in. If you have an angled one (like a "L" shape) or one that's thick plastic...you might not be able to put your jack in all the way and get a clear sound. My headphones are some sony kind so it's just a straight jack connector...HOWEVER...my speakers in my room for some reason are "L" shaped. Revisiting "ASSEMBLY" I'm not about to take off this case and put it back on every time i want to amplify the sound in my room.
So that's something to consider. But overall... great great sturdy case. it can slip out of your hands b/c it's plastic vs. silicon but it won't get linty like some covers. just gotta hold on to it with some intention :)

I love the look and sturdiness of this case. It takes some time to put together, but it seems very protective while making the buttons and screen nice and usable. It will protect my iPod Touch 3g well.
My problem comes with the accessories I use. With the case on, my Touch no longer fits in my Logitech dock/speakers. My Griffin iTrip doesn't fit. Even my Sony noise-canceling headphones I use at work don't really work because the size if the plastic molding around the jack is larger than the hole in the Incipio case around the headphone port. Apple headphones work fine because the jack is smaller, and Apple charging cable works fine and fits in the opening in the case.
I wish I would have investigated this more earlier. I am now looking at the Griffin Elan Form Graphite and similar cases that have a detachable bottom part.
If you don't use accessories, I recommend this case. If Incipio updates this case with a more exposed or detachable bottom, I'd definitely get it.

Great case but should come with instructions. Getting my ipod into the case wasn't the easiest thing to do but once it's together, it appears to be "bulletproof".

Best iPod touch case I have ever run across. It is a little tricky to put on, but not terribly difficult. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone. All of the buttons on the iPod are accessible while being protected. The silicone slip is extremely thin, yet durable. The outer case is very sturdy and does not scratch easily. The screen protector the comes with the product is perfect as well. It does not give the screen a rubbery feeling, or cause any glares.
