Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Tim McGraw has sold over 40 million units and dominated the charts with 30 #1 singles. He's won three Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People's Choice Awards and numerous others. The first single from Southern Voice, 'It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You', is an up-tempo, tongue-in-cheek tale about the price paid for loving a woman who loves designer labels, penned by Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and singer-songwriter Brett James.

Album Description
2009 release, the Country superstar's first studio album in two-and-a-half years. The album features the lead single, 'It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You' along with the title track, 'Southern Voice'. Recorded in Nashville with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Sugarland, Phil Vassar), Southern Voice is the follow-up to Let It Go, which debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 in April of 2007.

Tim McGraw just gets better and better! There is not a 'skipper' on the entire cd!

5 out of 5 stars Buy this CD!   January 18, 2010
Honesty (San Diego)
Never was a country fan but just recently, I find myself loving Tim McGraw. Just purchased several of his CDS and this one is my favorite! I am moved to tears by the song Mr. Whoever You Are! That is a sign of a great song! I also find myself singing along to tunes i.e. If I Died Today! Yeah, buy it.

I've been a Tim McGraw fan since Indian Outlaw, and this CD is an excellent effort from a great artist.

4 out of 5 stars Southern Voice Has a Great Sound but Very Depressing Lyrics   December 28, 2009
ifromtennessee
Southern Voice is a solid country album with an addictive sound but with lyrics that are consistently depressing. The following scenarios are covered in the lyrics: death (multiple songs), a factory worker engaging in numerous one-night relationships, visiting an absentee father in prison, murder/suicide on the train tracks, a girlfriend leaving, wondering how the years slipped by, saying goodbye to family, overspending money on a girl, and what would happen if you died (including who would view your body at the funeral home).
