Loves the game January 9, 2010 JAK (St. Louis, MO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 7 yr. old loves this game. I actually have to make her stop playing. This is our 2nd Pet Shop DS game. She loves both.
Littlest pet shop January 7, 2010 Mrs. Susan L. Pribula 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought my granddaughter this game for her DS. I found it on Amazon with the best price. She loves the game. I was glad I found it as all the stores I shopped at wanted more or were out of it. I am glad she loves it. It was worth buying it.
Fun, just don't buy Beach or Country- they are the very same January 4, 2010 Mrs. Rachel S (North Carolina) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am so mad- my daughter loved Littlest Pet Shop: Beach so when I saw Littlest Pet Shop: City at Target for $10 off, I grabbed it! When my daughter loaded it up, I thought the story looked VERY familiar...exactly the same! I can't believe it. What a scam to package the same game with one or two new animals? Come on. Very disappointing. However- the game is fun and my 4 year old loves it!
I also have a 6-year old... January 4, 2010 Maek (Phoenix, AZ United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
...and I would have to agree with the previous 2-star reviewer's review regarding their own experience. However, my daughter is able to read complete sentences, although she doesn't know ALL the words. That said, she has been able to pick up on this game quickly and intuitively and beams with pride when she picks up her blue ribbons for prizes that she wins.
Fun game for her, although I think that 7-8 year olds will have an easier time with it.
Great Game. January 4, 2010 G. Denny (Northern California) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
My daughter is also 6 years old (October 18, 2003) and plays this game just fine. Like other DS games, there is some reading but a 1st grader should be able to handle it. They may require a little assistance at first but the tougher words are repetitive throughout the game and after an hour or so they should be self-sufficient. I'm not sure why the first reviewer, reviewed her child's learning progress rather than this game, but I can tell you that my daughter loves it. A dose of reading mixed in with game playing is not a bad thing and what little girl does not like the Pet Shop?
Bottom line: If your child can read; you should get the game. If they are just starting to read or cannot read and you are involved and willing to assist them with some quality time; you should get the game. If your child cannot read; don't buy this game.
