In fact, it utilizes the same cutting-edge technology as Klipsch professional cinema products, which are chosen by leading cinema operators around the world.Each magnetically shielded LCR speaker employs dual 3.5-inch high-output woofers and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter mated to an exclusive Tractrix horn, a design that delivers genuine lifelike sound as well as produces more output using less energy. Each also offers easy keyhole wall mounting and includes a pedestal foot for free-standing use as a left/right main speaker or center channel.The two surround satellites are the same speakers featured in the Quintet Microsystem. Each utilizes a 3.5-inch long-throw woofer for remarkable detail and clarity and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter coupled to a MicroTractrix Horn for precise high frequencies. Additionally, these magnetically shielded satellites feature a swiveling pedestal foot for convenient wall mounting or bookshelf placement.In order to create the low-frequency power you can hear and feel, Klipsch recommend pairing the Quintet SL up with Klipsch Sub-12 subwoofer. The Sub-12 reaches deeper and hits harder thanks to a 12-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH amplifier.In addition to using premium components throughout, the Quintet SL has a modern, refined industrial design. While the LCRs and satellites feature a dark gray finish with medium gray accents, the Sub-12 is available in a black ash vinyl finish with titanium accents.

I'll be honest, I'm not an audiophile, and these also went towards my first home theater. So, I cannot tell you that these are better that brand X or model Y. What I can say is that I recommend these to all of my friends looking for good home theater speakers. They are clear and distortion-free at louder levels. With my Pioneer 1019AH-K and my OPPO Blu Ray player, it's actually better than the movie theater, I swear. I also have the Klipsch 12 in. sub and that definitely helps. I had to alert my neighbors (I live in a condo) that if the sound penetrates the wall to either complain to me directly or just bring some beers over and watch with me. I have no complaints about these. My father-in-law came over and he usually believes that whatever he has is the best... well, he has gone shopping since then. He had a very nice Bose setup (I know, unfair comparison) and was overwhelmed by these (along with the rest of the setup). I'm sure that these don't compare to some $1,000 floor speakers, but for me, they are great. Good sound, not particularly obtrusive. Not much else to add to the other reviews on the site.

I've been buying and trashing stereo equipment since I was a teenager. That would be about 50 years. During this period of time I've had some really nice components. Sometimes I would have great a receiver but modest speakers. A couple of times I had both. But never until very recently have I had the best of everything. The Klipsch Quintet LS Home Theater System was the crowning component. I have nothing negative to say about these fine speakers and what they have done to my overall home entertainment system. A small note of interest was the lack of a set of really great speaker wires being included with the package. Not a big thing just thought it would have been a nice addition considering the price. Well recommended. Worth every dime you will spend.

About the distortion , got all wired on 16 gauge just one side speaker right front hearing like heazing sound when it in the idling mode( walking,running,clibming,etc...) or something cliping.I need help.... Is there any suggestion out there
 WATCH OUT! Rubber circles damaged furniture February 3, 2010

I really like these speakers; they sound fantastic and I give them 5 stars.
I wish Amazon allowed you to alert others to certain problems without giving the product a lower rating, but be that as it may, I'd like to alert you to a problem. It's those little rubber circles that are provided that you put under the speakers to minimize vibration. I put them under the speakers as suggested and put one of the speakers on my expensive Amish built oak bookshelf. After several weeks, we lifted the speaker to dust more thoroughly and found that each of the 4 rubber circles had created permanent black spots. Since we had moved the speaker slightly each time we dusted, the bookshelf now contained 12-16 obvious dark/black spots that cannot be removed by any method we could determine (and I work for a company that makes cleaning products). Wow! That's must be some cheap/defective rubber. I guess I'll need to refinish the bookshelf. For the rest of you, be careful, and perhaps put the speaker on a piece of felt if you are going to put them on a wood table.

I wanted to purchase a home theater that was BIG but small. I settled on Klipsch, but couldn't settle on which system I wanted. After reading the reviews of the people on Amazon I settled on this set.
I hooked them up to my Denon 1910 and I have to tell you, these are some of the BEST speakers I have ever heard. I replaced my Athena Micra 6 home theater system with these speakers and was immediately blown away!
I would like to thank the people that before me that took the time to write a review to help me out. I am more than happy with my purchase and I am sure I will be happy with them for years to come.
