First time lucky March 22, 2010 History lover (UK) I have never used a breadmaker before, but looked at the reviews and friends recommendations and decided on this one.
Have had a couple of disasters, but they were my fault and in one case I overcooked my croissants. However , have changed the make of strong flour and also tried 50/50 white and wholemeal flour with very good results. Can't wait to try some more types of bread and cakes.
BakerJo March 22, 2010 Dales Man (Yorkshire) This replaced an earlier model only because I wanted the extra features. It is proving to be every bit as good as the first one, even better, really. Makes first rate bread and dough of all types. Thoroughly recommended.
breadmakers v handmade March 21, 2010 top to toe (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tradionally made bread by hand but time constraints has made me think about buying a breadmaker.
I am overall pleased with the results that the machine makes, they can be light and fluffy and a variety of mixes. I don't think they are better than handmade however they are are certainly more convenient.
Worth investing in, and a lovely smell in the kitchen, no problem eating up the bread- teenagers just make it disappear like magic.
Excellent! March 20, 2010 Mac (UK) Outstanding results every time with this machine (the brioche and pizza doughs are particularly good). If your bread doesn't seem to rise properly make sure you are putting the dried yeast in first and try adding 10-20ml more liquid as some flour types require the extra liquid.
