Product Description This kit provides everything you need to connect up your Sky digibox or Freesat receiver. It includes the NEW Mk4 Raven Sky minidish (size 59cm width x 43cm height) and the new style Sky compact quad LNB, along with brackets and four bolts for wall mounting (if you want to pole mount it you need the V-bolt which is an optional extra). The new dish is slightly larger for better reception and general performance. It also has pre-built brackets, so you don't need to bolt them together - they just fold out and snap into place. The LNB is fitted with the new bracket for this dish which holds it securely with no "wobble". The 20m of Twin cable is CT63, highest quality approved cable, along with 4 F-connectors, 20 double cable clips and 12" of self amalgamating tape for a final waterproofed finish. We also include a wall cover plate and hole tidy grommet for a professional finish. The kit components are matched for guaranteed performance. We also include our Satgear alignment instructions and dish setup diagram. The dish is a Zone 1 dish, not guaranteed to work in Scotland or Ireland, although the new larger size makes it better than the previous minidish, so it should be fine for most UK locations. It is ideal for upgrading to Sky+ or Freesat where you want to provide extra capacity to watch up to four channels at a time on dual-tuner boxes (Sky+ or Humax HDR Freesat+) or just to add additional receivers.

Good looking dish and easy install February 28, 2010 Mr. S. Sharp (Rayleigh, Essex, UK) I ordered the (Satgear Sky/Freesat Complete Self-Install Kit - New Mk4 Sky Satellite Mini Dish kit with Quad LNB, fixings and 20m twin cable Ideal for Sky+ or Freesat HD Ready) and the (Konig Satellite Finder Signal Meter With Patch Lead) together on a Sunday. Both items arrived promptly on the Tuesday, but I had to curb my enthusiasm as a pack of bolts were missing from the satellite dish kit. Also, only 4 "F" type connectors are included in the kit, so you'll need to order an extra 4 if you need to connect all 4 feeds on the Quad LNB. A call to the very helpful people on customer services resulted in the missing bolts and some extra "F" connectors arriving on Thursday. The dish and cables should be very easy to install if you've got basic DIY skills and tools. You may need to purchase a long masonry drill to punch a hole through an external wall so that you can route the cables through. As a previous reviewer said, connect your meter and receiver to the LNB, and point the dish due east. Then swing the dish gently round towards south and Freesat should be the first signal you find. Adjust the dish for peak signal strength, tighten the bolts, and you're done. The dish, bracket, and LNB are finished in black/dark grey, and so they're not an eyesore. I'm very satisfied with both these products and the service, and I've saved £70 by installing a Freesat dish myself !
All you need for good satellite reception February 25, 2010 K. Smith (Sleaford Lincs) I used this kit to receive Freesat. It included everything that I needed for the installation right down to the cable clips and wall entry cover. So after a relatively short time installing all the bits and pieces I was up and running with signal strengths greater than 90% and signal quality of 100%. I would recommend this kit to anyone with a small amount of DIY skill. The only comment I would make is, get a sat finder kit.
Fantastic February 8, 2010 Martinyazz (Dorset, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Orderd this kit to go with a Humax freesat tuner. There is everything you need in here and it works perfectly. I recommend getting a satellite tuner to get accurate directions..
Perfect piece of equipment February 3, 2010 C. Jackson (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered this dish to replace a very old Sky dish that we cancelled years ago.
The bracket for the dish was identical to the old sky dish and therefore I didnt need to drill new holes.
Setting everything up is a doddle, but read the instructions and advice on where the satellite is. In conjunction with the Konig Satellite Finder Signal Meter With Patch Lead I positioned the dish to what I thought was a strong signal and buttoned everything up. It was dark at the time and after trying to tune the receiver it didnt pick up any channels. Looking at our neighbours dish I was way out so, read the instructions of the Satellite finder and this time got it spot on and receiving all FreeSat channels.
Easy to piece together and install, just read the instructions first ;-)
A great product.
Satgear SK35 Sky/Freesat Complete Self-Install Kit - New Mk4 Sky Satellite Mini Dish kit with Quad LNB, fixings and 20m twin cab January 30, 2010 Welsh Dragon (Lincoln, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Firstly, this is the most important bit. It works really well and delivers an amazing picture quality to my Humax Freesat box. Definitely need to purchase a satellite finder though. Got 100% and 90% signal strength and quality. Very happy
However, these are my gripes with the 'getting it out of the box and on the wall experience.
Instructions are really poor.
1. Adding the connections on the end of the cable was a job I had never done before and it took a tripple read to understand what they meant.
2. It comes with some black tape but it doesn't tell you what it's for or how to use it. It's amazing stuff and does a great job when you've worked out what it is for.
3. There are no angle markings on the brackets to indicate where it is pointing so the sat finder is a must.
4. You need to work out for yourself where the screws go and which way to put them through the metal pieces so that you can actually tighten them up once on the wall.
At the end of the day I gave it 4 stars because it does the business and it was cheap so I should have expected what I got.
