My 2 year old found this book very boring. I found the book was written poorly and the sounds didn't flow very well with the story. The book is short and could not keep my child's attention. Buy a different book.

I bought this for my granddaughter, she loves Elmo so this book is br /the right one to teach her about going potty like a big girl, she br /loves to push the different buttons so she can listen to the sounds br /they make, a few of them make her laugh. It's a great way to learn br / have fun at the same time! She loves it so do I.

My 18-month daughter loves pressing the buttons to make the sounds, but I agree that it doesn't work for potty-training because it doesn't even show Elmo on the potty at all. I can't say to her, "See, this is how Elmo sits on the potty when he needs to go. Can you do it too?" For those who find the noise too loud, try putting a sticker over the speaker, and it'd decrease the volume quite a bit.
