This is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three labels, in one collection. It once would've required at least four CDs to own the best stuff here. Many think the legendary performer was at his best in the early to mid-'70s, and the incredible string of singles that ran from 1970's "Your Song" through 1977's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" remains mighty impressive. But in retrospect, as they're presented here, '80s hits like "I'm Still Standing" and "Sad Songs" add much to an already amazing legacy. Three Disney tunes, the lush "The One," and two from Songs from the West Coast, which was hailed as a return to those '70s golden days, represent the later years. Collectively, these tracks reinforce the notion that, despite Michael Jackson's later proclamations, John was once the closest thing post-'60s music had to a genuine king of pop, respected by hipsters and the mainstream alike. --Bill Holdship

Great collection of the best Elton John hits around. I have a few of the collections and this is the best. If your a fan you need this album.

Dear Sir/Madam:
The CD I had purchased via your web site turned out to be great failure.
The reason is that even there are two disks in the album with different labels, both CD ARE THE SAME.
For our big embaressment it was a present to our work associate.

It's no wonder Elton John is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Grammy and Academy Award winner. From "Your Song" and "Tiny Dancer" to "I Want Love"
One of my Favorite live concerts of Elton John's is his benefit for Hillary Clinton for President in 2008 (she ended up receiving more votes than any Presidential primary candidate in history)

My first Elton John CD and a double one at that! Why have I waited so long to sit back and be able to enjoy 34 of his unbeatable hits? He is now referred to as Sir Elton with a capital 'S' but I'll go even further and describe him as an Entertainer with a capital 'E'! His style and delivery result in a production number in each and every one of his songs, all of which entertain from beginning to end. You will be glad you added this double CD package to your collection!

Great songs just as I expected. EJ is always and without hesitation a great performer. The very reason that he will always be able to demand the best price, the best stage or whatever else he wants. Never fails to deliver.
